Jeremy Ziskind is BOTEC’s Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. He also writes policy reports and manages grant-writing proposals for projects under heavy public scrutiny. Jeremy has a decade of experience working in strategy and public affairs at the local, state, and federal levels. Jeremy previously held positions with the Vera Institute of Justice and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), where he drafted policy positions for Cabinet officials and members of Congress, prepped the federal “Drug Czar” for legislative hearings, wrote speeches for top officials and performed outreach to field practitioners. At ProCon.org, a non-profit providing information on top social issues, he was the lead writer for headline news articles, and managed research, marketing, and editing projects for several issue-specific websites. Jeremy holds an M.P.P. from UCLA, where he was named Teaching Assistant of the Year. He edited the book Drugs and Drug Policy: What Everyone Needs to Know, and is a member of the London School of Economics Expert Group on the Economics of Drug Policy. His contribution to the LSE report “Ending the Drug Wars” was named one of the top ten policy studies produced by a think tank worldwide in 2014.
